Standards of Care (Non-Medical Concierge Support)

Everkind Living LLC– Standards of Care (Non-Medical Concierge Support)

Scope (what we do): companionship, errands, household support, transportation coordination, home-safety support, move and transition support. We provide practical assistance to support independence and quality of life.

Not medical care: Everkind staff do not diagnose, provide medical advice, perform clinical procedures, administer medications, handle controlled substances, or provide hands-on personal care unless appropriately licensed/authorized and contracted.

Client dignity & autonomy: We respect client preferences, cultural values, routines, and right to make decisions. We use consent-based support and explain options clearly.

Safety-first practice:

                  •                We assess fall risks and home hazards during visits and communicate concerns to the client/family (with consent).

                  •                We do not perform work that requires a licensed trade; we coordinate qualified vendors.

                  •                Staff follow safe lifting practices and decline unsafe tasks.

Confidentiality & privacy: We protect personal information. We share updates only with authorized individuals and only with client consent (unless required by law for safety).

Professional boundaries: No financial exploitation, gifts, or conflicts of interest. Clear rules for handling keys, cash, and valuables:

                  •                Any handling of client funds requires written permission and receipt documentation.

                  •                Two-party verification recommended for cash transactions when feasible.

Documentation & transparency: Every visit generates a brief summary: what was done, observations, and recommended next steps. Incidents are recorded promptly.

Reliability & continuity: We aim for consistent staff assignment and on-time arrivals. We communicate delays immediately.

Escalation & emergencies:

                  •                If there is imminent danger, we call 911 first.

                  •                We notify the designated contact per the care plan.

                  •                We document events factually and promptly.

Mandatory reporting & ethics: We follow applicable Maine requirements and company policy regarding suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation, and we act to protect client safety.
